Dr. Rakesh Ghildiyal is an experienced Psychiatrist who is currently working as Professor and Head of Department of Psychiatry of MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai.

He is an alumnus of renowned and reputed Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital from where he accomplished MBBS, MD in Psychiatry and Diploma in Psychological Medicine. Post completing his MD, he started working with Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital as Lecturer of Psychiatry. He was further appointed as an Associate Professor Psychiatry. His stint with MGM Medical College started in 1998, when he accepted a role of an Associate Professor Psychiatry.

Dr. Ghildiyal was in Charge of Drug De-addiction Centre Of Excellence, which was a Joint Venture of UNDCP, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare New Delhi, BMC and KEM Hospital. Centre was responsible for training health professionals in the field of De-addiction. He was deputed by Government of India to participate in 'Asian Multicity Epidemiology Workshop in De-addiction' which was organised in Penang in Malaysia in 1994.

Dr. Ghildiyal has presented numerous presentations at psychiatric, medical, and non-medical seminars. He has also been actively involved in conducting regular psycho-educational programmes for psychiatrists, general practitioners, teachers, children, senior citizens organizations, executives and persons facing mental health and common psychological disorders.
